VICTORIA FALLS TOURS WALKING WITH LIONS

Until recently, Victoria Falls was predominantly visited from the Zimbabwe side of the Falls.  The tourism business has shifted significantly to the Zambian side since the demise of the Zimbabwe economy,  although one can readily cross the border and experience the Falls from both sides.  

English is widely spoken in the main tourist areas of Zambia and Zimbabwe. 

The list of the activities and tours available to do in the immediate area is very long indeed including walking with the lions, biking, cliff climbing, birding, fishing, bungee jumping, zip-lining, boating/cruises, clay pigeon shooting, golf, horse riding, white water rafting, flights over the Falls, shopping etc.

There are three seasons - cool and dry from May to August, hot and dry from September to November, warm and wet from December to April. 
 
 One can stay as long as they like however it is recommended one stay at least 3 days to get a good feel for the area.
 
Zambia is a country located on Tanzania's south west border and is probably considered to be more in the southern part of the continent rather than east Africa.

There are regular flights to and from east Africa that fly into the capital city of Lusaka and then from Lusaka into the town of Livingstone which is located close to the majestic Victoria Falls.
 
Depending on the flight connections with the regular carriers, an overnight stay may be required in Lusaka in both directions. 
  
In instances where 4 or more people are going in a group, it may be economical enough to arrange a charter flight to take visitors directly from Lusaka onto Livingstone thereby bypassing any overnight stays in the capital city and spending more time at the Falls site.
  
If a visit to South Africa is part of the overall tour, there is also the possibility of arriving directly into Livingstone from Johannesburg, South Africa.
