Why the Northern Game Reserve Parks Circuit tour is the best wildlife game viewing experience in the world.

The Northern Wildlife Parks Circuit is the number one attraction in Tanzania due to the high concentration, diversity and accessibility of the wildlife, as well as the spectacular scenery. 

The Northern Parks Circuit will normally take up to about 5-8 days in total however these durations can be shortened or lengthened as per client's request. 

A Safari outfit is retained to provide transportation,  all meals, accommodations and fees for the entire Circuit tour. 

Transportation consists of a private four wheel drive vehicle equipped with a pop-up roof for viewing and photographing game. 

An English speaking guide is assigned to the vehicle who also doubles as the driver in most instances.

Small planes can also be used to travel between camps for those on a tighter schedule or those less inclined to enjoy the long drives between camps or lodges.
 
Extracurricular activities just outside the park boundaries include cultural village tours, nature hikes, biking and exciting night drives, all which can be enjoyed while on the Circuit.  One will also encounter the people of the renown Masai tribe on the Circuit.

Breathtaking early morning ballooning trips are also available over the Serengeti.  Balloon rides should be booked at the time your Safari is booked.

Arusha, a bustling town at the base of beautiful Mount Meru, is the main point of departure for guests into the Circuit. Arusha is served by the same International Airport that serves the Mount Kilimajaro trekkers, but is 45 minutes away in the opposite direction.

Guests are generally met at the airport by the Safari outfit, or transferred from Moshi if just completing the trek down Kilimanjaro. 

Lake Manyara is famous for its tree climbing lions.

While on safari, lunches consist of box lunches provided by the hotels, lodges and camps.  Diners and breakfasts are provided at the lodges and/or camps. You will not go hungry while on safari.

A day is usually devoted to touring the Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, comprising a nearly closed eco-system in the bottom of a huge collapsed volcano, 20 km in diameter and 610 m deep.  Ngorongoro Crater is home to thousands of animals in a confined area including the endangered Black Rhino.

Most of the time on the Circuit is spent in the Serengeti.  It is said that Tarangirie and Lake Manyara are the appetizers, the Crater is dessert and that the Serengeti is the main course.
  
The Serengeti Park is a vast grassland dotted with kopjes or rock clusters and one can see and hear wildlife in all directions for as far as the eye can see. 

The Serengeti can be enjoyed year round however certain months of the year are worthy of note.  For instance, the many predators are most active in December, January and February when the Zebra and Wildebeest are calving or foaling in the middle of the Serengeti.
 
In May, June, July, the migration is usually taking place in the western corridor where the wildlife are crossing the crocodile infested Grumeti River.
 
It is extremely important that quests are properly positioned in the areas of the Serengeti where the animals are most active at the time of your tour; that the driver / guide know where and how to spot the more elusive game; and that the camp or lodges meet our high standards.

It is also important that the Safari outfit retained provide the proper vehicle and that it be a private vehicle.
 
The vehicle should be a 4-wheel drive, preferably a Toyota Land Cruiser built to African specifications, to handle the rough roads and terrain.
  

  There should be a roof opening where guests can stand up safely inside the vehicle to view and photograph the game and scenery. 
 
It is also important that the roof opening consist of a pop-up roof which, when it is up, provides cover for the guests from the elements.
 
Some Safari outfits may situate their guests in poor locations, utilize incorrect vehicles, and combine parties of strangers in order to fill up the vehicle.
